Agree but they’ve consolidated power and the window for turning this around with massive peaceful opposition is rapidly closing. Can’t imagine we’ll have fair elections in 2026 at this rate.

It’s truly terrifying where things are headed. The dehumanizing rhetoric, contempt for Dems and violence against peaceful protestors are accelerating. Surreal as we slip into violent repression and the entire GOP seems to be down with it.

I can’t say I’m surprised, but I am certainly appalled. This is a dark day for public health. I believe it is most appropriate to refer to this committee as RFKJ’s ACIP. He handpicked all these members to get the result that he wanted.

BREAKING: CDC's ACIP just voted 8-3 to change vaccine recomendation and stop recommending MMRV to children as their first dose.

Look at the drastic cuts President Trump asked Congress to throw at the CDC.

He wanted zeroing out of all funding for chronic diseases, birth defects/developmental disorders, and injury prevention, and occupational health and a 65% reduction for environmental health at CDC...

One day after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on racial profiling, federal agents swarmed a car in Van Nuys.

Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.

There is no justification for this. None.

Experts say conservation measures are critical for building resilience to climate change as farmers grapple with flooding, drought, and other climate impacts. But as these risks continue to mount, conservation resources are harder to come by.

As Extreme Weather Increases Flooding on Farms, Federal Support for Climate Resilience Evaporates
USDA’s staffing cuts, scuttled conservation programs, and misdirected crop insurance are hitting farmers hard.

There’s been lots of discussion of the article, but I think the paper-copy visual is effective.

Individual photos of each Dem Senator, each one captioned, “Senator [Name], what will you do?”

What a gaslighter. Earlier in the same hearing he talked about how many Americans died from Covid. Constantly contradicting himself.

I wrote about journalists who look away. From Maxim Gorky's shameful behavior in 1929 at Solovki and the death of George Polk in Greece in 1948, I move on to our current national crisis, which grows a little more urgent every day, despite those who continue to act as if nothing is happening.

That article has nothing to do with the moment that we are now in. It’s more like Germany 1933 than Chile 1973.

It’s stunning, really, how they’re still trying to find common ground with an administration that is ruthlessly bent on their destruction.
