Today's WaPo headlines that the Trump team is "unmoved" as the effects of cuts begin to be felt domestically & worldwide. Honestly, I get it; why can't they? The effects are the plan, not an accidental byproduct. Don't look for them to have feelings beyond those of triumph, success, vindication.

Cut as much as wrote today, but still at 3950 words over the 4 days. Today's challenge: not research exactly, but, condensing my thoughts about Deaths of Despair so they don't overpower the essay. Yikes. So many thoughts. #mini1000

Another 1000 words today--well, 940. It's going to be an essay, not just about my friend who took her life, but about despair. Writing was easy today; totally flowed. Not like wrestling with my novel! Maybe I just really wanted to write about despair! Hope everyone had a good day with #mini1000.

Just reporting in to #mini1000. 1272 words.I was supposed to be working on my novel; instead, I wrote about a friend who recently took her life. It might grow into an essay. Is that ok? Do I lack focus & discipline? These words just wrote themselves down & the novel's been a struggle. Why, tho?
