Reminder: open your windows.

Yes, I know it’s cold. (Wisconsin has been below 0 (-17C) all week).

It’s amazing how much CO2 accumulates pretty rapidly, from only 1 human in a typical room space. Improved immunity, and less dirt, dust, allergens, mold, you get the idea.
House Burping Sounds Gross But It May Boost Your Wellbeing
The centuries-old German practice is trending on TikTok, and for good reason.

Just finished shoveling. I did my driveway and sidewalk. Aaaaand then the entire block. My side of street and other side. Holy. Moly. Took me 1 hour 13 minutes.

No, I’m not sure why I did that. lol
Shoveled my driveway and sidewalk. Then 3 of the neighbors. Then felt something on my eyelashes. This is a first for me! Winter in Wisconsin, good times.

I had a leak but wasn’t notified by the city until it had been going for 3 months, and then got the huge bill. Pissed. Had a small plumbing leak first month and then hose leak last month. (Those are my best guesses, even though the amount of water was smaaaaall).
My water bill is twice its usual amount. Am i paying for the Microsoft plant or is there a leak domewhere?

Like, seriously, i didn't even HAVE water for a bunch of days in there.

If you are 50+, please get your recommended shingles vaccination. Several new studies indicate benefits beyond the obvious. I’m most excited about this:

People who do not wear outside shoes inside the house: how do you handle wearing a foot/ankle brace/boot?

Like I’m supposed to wear it at all times. But I would never mow the lawn and then walk in those shoes into my home. I didn’t think to ask this when I was at urgent care.

Does anyone realize how sexy it is to… sell a product once?

I pay you for an item.
I now own it, forever.

Remember when people would like, peddle their wares? And other people would buy them? And then those people owned them in perpetuity?

It ruled.

Myth: Illegal immigrants can’t pay taxes because they have no ssn.

Truth: They can and do, by using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs).

Additionally: They pay sales and property taxes.

I was just in a glorious bookstore called Godmothers and this was the book I bought, 🤣.

I needed something that made me laugh and this book had my guffawing so hard, I was in tears. EXACTLY what I needed.

Oh he is HANDSOME.

Fun timing cause I just got my first hummingbird of the year a couple of hours ago! Overjoyed to have my loves back.
First hummer of the day. The colors of my bougainvillea and this male Anna’s hummingbird look so pretty in the muted 5:30 AM light.

Here is a photo of a trans non-binary biologist (me) holding a bird (Eastern Towhee) that is likely a bilateral gynandromorph-- a fusion of cells with female-type chromosomes and cells with male-type chromosomes in one bird!
