Yes, just like we banned social media. That worked oh so well. Or maybe we help guide kids. Teach them proper use, that AI can lie, that it is not your friend. Many of us in K12 are working hard to navigate this. Banning never works, many parents are not paying attention, kids are using it.

1. that is part of teaching students to use tools. 2. there are ai tools specifically made for education that have guardrails, they don't just scrape anything for training. They use very specific sources, it help reduce that issue. 3. Kids are using AI no matter what. We need to help navigate it.

Since it is so easy to cheat, many teachers are going back to handwriting essays. Which I think is a good thing. Students are more likely to ask AI what they consider stupid questions on something they don't understand and hopefully helping them get to that next level.

The ability for use to find trends in testing data. Which helps us find where students struggle faster, mean we can address that much faster. (This is a major deal).

Yes. In many ways. Like any tech it has major negatives, but it has a lot of positives. I work K12, let me tell you I have seen both. Here are a few. Special Ed., teachers use AI to build amazing IEPs that truly support the child. Translations..OMG, AI allows for real time translation. It's amazing.

Yes, but I am actually enjoying the show. I think the older cast really helps it. And I have always like Mae Whitman. I can't help but think of arrested development. Her?😆
