It was surreal to see people seemingly shocked by Trump's video on X. Bill O'Reilly rushed out to assure everyone that Trump did not mean to post it and say that the staffer should be fired. Laura Loomer said that she will be providing Trump with a list of all Senators who condemned the video.

And Trump has already hung him out to dry. Why? These people confound me.

It might have something to do with the fact that he hasn't staked out his ground as a respectable 'establishment' type. He doesn't wear a suit, he frequently looks like he's been up for two days straight, and he's crazy enough that we already expect it of him. (?)

Now it's a misdemeanor--same 111 charge, but DOJ has lost a number of these cases, bc what counts an assault becomes problematic to prove (that's what happened with Sandwich Guy, for example).

Meanwhile, the original AUSA wants nothing to do with it.

Agreed. And yet, it seems like ICE agents are being used as pawns in Miller's war on immigrants. Zimbardo and Milgram demonstrated that most people are susceptible to blind obedience and the desire for power. The agents don't have effective leadership and get blamed for most failings.
