What has happened to Jonathan Turley? Specifically, why does he seem intent and content to echo the talking points of Laura Ingraham and Fox News more broadly? He's always been a bit of a contrarian, but it seems more intentional as of late. Is it money? Any insight is appreciated.

Now it's a misdemeanor--same 111 charge, but DOJ has lost a number of these cases, bc what counts an assault becomes problematic to prove (that's what happened with Sandwich Guy, for example).

Meanwhile, the original AUSA wants nothing to do with it.

Remember that midnight raid in Chicago supposedly to arrest Tren del Aragua members? Newly revealed court docs show that the raid was facilitated by the building owners who are now accused of using the raid to evict tenants. 2 weeks ago, the El Paso Medical Examiner ruled the death of a Cuban ICE detainee a homicide.

This time, when a 32-year-old Nicaraguan man died, ICE bypassed the county medical examiner in favor of a military facility. They won’t publicly release a ruling.

Gonna write this up at more length.

But if you believe Trump's goons will not follow the law, if you believe Trump will reverse November's election.

Your job is NOT to doom monger. It is to treat people-in-the-streets as the one remaining measure.

As expected, #SCOTUS denies the emergency application to block California’s congressional redistricting—with no public dissents.

Among other things, this is also a good addition to the “be cynical but not nihilistic about the Court” file.

AI take on Tillis, and why he can be honest:
1. He’s a senator, not a House member
2. He’s not trying to be a Trump-style politician
3. North Carolina is not deep red
4. He’s already survived backlash
5. He usually criticizes on process, not personality
6. He still mostly votes with Republicans

I read Thom Tillis' takedown of Noem and Miller on X, and watched him being interviewed by Politico. How is he able to be (seemingly) more honest than most Republicans dare to be about the administration? Can he be cloned?
