Somehow I’ve only just realized how Bill and Ted are a complete ripoff of Doctor Who. I can still love both but honestly shocked this just recently occurred to me tenor.com/76DX.gif

Finally met a social media influencer I respect. Fiona is just as gorgeous and effortlessly charismatic as she seems online! Totally worth the trip to Cincinnati and $25 selfie fee 😘🦛

Somehow only just found that Stephen Jay Gould wrote a paper about the evolution of Mickey Mouse. Delightful concept and, of course, well executed data collection and conclusions faculty.uca.edu/benw/biol441...

This thread is a delight! Show solidarity with your best puns.
Got five minutes? Please help management at the California state university system regret putting a public snitch form online as part of their union busting activities. For instance, you could report Professor Plum in the library with a candlestick, or complain about Professor Snape.
And just learned that not only has management put the snitch form on the uni website, they've embedded it as a pop-up window in our Learning Management System to directly target our students and try to turn them against us.

Take 2 of Dominic Toretto confused math lady meme
January 16, 2024 at 6:12 AM
The idea that Dom is a math savant and that’s the only way he’s survived this long makes me giggle and I just had to make this. I’ve never made a meme before. Hopefully I did it right.

The union representing technicians at Scripps Institution of Oceanography continues to fight for fair and equitable pay. I’m still owed about $3k I was promised for isolating before research cruises to ensure a Covid-free ship.

@dustchick.bsky.social and I chat Fate of the Furious in our latest science podcast episode. We also interview a computer scientist about what hacking really looks like. She blew my mind when she pointed out that maybe Tej went to coding bootcamp in between movies 🤯 sites.libsyn.com/346595/8-shi...

More physics fun as @dustchick.bsky.social and I re-watch Furious 7! We also chat with a psychologist about found family and how pop culture helps us process grief. Give the episode a listen and then rewatch the movie, it's a masterpiece sites.libsyn.com/346595/serio...

When the birds get renamed, can we please let the scientists who study them weigh in on the new names? They’ll know best which ones are the assholes and deserve to be called out.
