For me I struggle with that just because it tends to happen at such a deep level for me. Like, I can’t explain why folk artist A’s vocals connect to the deepest parts of my soul while folk artist B’s vocals sound boring to me. If I can’t explain it to myself it’s even harder to explain it to others

probably adjacent to why people are afraid to be vulnerable. if you pour yourself into trying to get someone into something and they still don't like it, that hurts in a way that just letting them bounce off once doesn't

Comp play is overwhelmingly defined by the worst cards, biggest design mistakes and power level outliers. Which makes the shotgun approach really bad. But when you're focusing on casual play that doesn't matter cause the bad stuff just won't show up very much and everyone gets their special thing.
