it's funny how even though there are quite a few things in my life to be proud of and find joy in right now, the thing that has buoyed my spirits the most is making this shawl as a gift for my niece.
I might not be the aunt you see every week, but hopefully I can still be meaningful.

for the past few months I've been writing little notes of hope to myself and storing them in a jar. I'm still feeling rough emotionally today, so I chose now to open them. I don't know if it's helped, but I do know that I feel sad. for not ever feeling like I'm enough; for always doubting myself.

it takes so so many spoons to bleach/dye/cut my hair, but it's one of the things that makes me feel most like myself.

I find it very hard to treat myself to anything, but I spoiled myself this month by buying one of the new Life Series desk mats. and it is SO gorgeous. super well made, the art is gorgeous, and it's a great size even for my larger desk. I teared up when I saw it; these people give me so much joy.

hello from - and it doesn't feel real to say this - the university library.
nearly four months ago, I was confined to my flat when a DWP decision on my PIP caused me to lose my previous chair. I struggle a lot being out, but to have it taken was horrible. today I finally have my freedom again.
