I'm writing a modern day Dante's Inferno, with a neurodivergent, aro/ace MC named Maggie (25). She's traveling through Hell with her Grannie to record the updated punishments, and relieve the redeemed from dole.

At Maggie's lowest moment, she goes to the cemetery to visit her family right before she is dragged to Hell. She doesn't get to visit her family often because of work and general life stress. And now she probably won't visit the cemetery because of ✨trauma✨

Maggie's favorite memories with her mother are when they would decorate around the house together. Specifically when her mother would display her collections of precious moments figurines for everyone to see for that season

The biggest problem for Maggie is the existence of Magic within Hell. Heaven protects her physically, but not mentally/emotionally.
So when creatures use spells against her to mess with her mind (or something traumatic happens) she's still going to feel the anxiety and onset of PTSD

The depraved are typically shoved further down into Hell as time passes, while the jubilees are those who were damned by old laws, who have since been collected for redemption.

While everyone in Maggie's circle understands that Hell is expanding and modernizing, no one knows who is inventing all the new cities and weapons. It's assumed to be God because "justice incited my sublime Creator" but that's wrong.
