5. OTOH I think it's valuable to remain skeptical. Companies have shown they want to reduce work forces and find cheaper ways to make things, so this is definitely a 'wait and see' situation for me.

4. Larian can't avoid the first one and I've seen no evidence for the second one. We have to get comfortable with companies 'using' AI as we go forward because they don't have a choice. If you say no, especially on a big team, you're basically lying. Everybody has AI on every device they use.

3. The work AI produces is generally garbage and sub-par and you can't be sure, artistically, that it has any merit because it isn't really intentional, it can only be good by accident, so it has no artistic value. This is true no matter how good your 'prompt artist' is.

2. Using AI to steal work from actual creatives who otherwise could have been employed. This gets you coming and going because it steals a job from somebody right now but the AI is also trained on other people's work, so it's just plagiarism with a thin veneer of respectability.

1. IMHO there are basically three reasons why AI sucks.
It's terrible for the environment and any use of it is questionable but I'm willing to admit it's already integrated into everything we use. This falls under 'no ethical consumption under capitalism." It's there whether you want it or not.

I mean it would never happen but it would be pretty funny if Canadians basically called him on it, joined the US, then took over the US and renamed it to Canada.

I think it's completely valid to be frustrated by the Dems in general, they've always been lukewarm tea water. I think it's important to remember a lot of the little outbursts or local oppositions aren't really being covered by the news, but the Dems are definitely not going to save us.

I firmly believe anyone who talks about how good US health care is has either never had to use it, used it once and was astonished that medicine works, or are so rich they get med-evac'd for a twisted ankle.

I had a boss that would hire temps because he measured productivity by how many people were on the phone when he came out of his office, and he wouldn't take a call with somebody else unless at least two other people were taking a call on the background of his call anyway capitalism is like that.
