"The Epstein emails are bigger than Trump."
It has begun. People deflecting by saying "it's not just Trump!"
We KNOW it's not just Trump.
But none of the others have access to nuclear weapons, armed goon squads, and a sycophantic base capable of starting a civil war.
Trump FIRST ... THEN the others.
The Epstein emails are bigger than Trump, the "Epstein Class" are multimillionaires who use their wealth&networks to avoid accountability&justice. Will these brave women finally break the power of these oligarchs?

Oi. Even the turkeys are anti-Hindu.
I wonder what VP Vance's family will be having for T-Day.
Trump: "Despite their size, Secretary Kennedy has formally certified that these are the first ever MAHA turkeys. They could be fat, but they're still MAHA. They've been fattened on a steady diet of grass, beef, to allow the smoothies and all the other things they have been eating for this occasion."

"You took 30 minutes too long. We're docking your pay."
"You #timed me?"
"Business is cut-throat. Deal with it."
Late that night, after I had tied him to a chair in his own kitchen, I held up the straight razor. "Cut-throat, you said. So I'm dealing with it." He took 30 minutes to bleed out.

Saw mention elsewhere about recurring nightmares.
For decades, my recurring nightmare was a chase dream. The people or things chasing me always changed but I was always running scared.
You know what? Ever since I retired, I haven't had a single chase dream.
Not one.
How about that?

Watching "Geostorm" because I'm in the mood for a silly action movie. I think I saw the beginning of this movie years ago but I never finished it. So far, it's as silly as I remember.

Advice from Cousin Mendur via Tim Minchin:

Define yourself by what you LOVE, not what you hate, not what you oppose, not your job.

"[E[xpress your passion for things you love. Be demonstrative and generous in your praise of those you admire. Send thank-you cards and give standing ovations."

Now THAT is a really bad idea - setting a precedent that you can recall any servicemember back to active duty in order to punish them for free speech. Especially since Hegseth himself could be called back to active duty to answer for his ACTUAL crimes.

America didn't "win" with the DOGE shutdown.
Elon Musk won. He got everything he wanted and gave Republicans a fake talking point.
As for Big Balls and the other Elon bros, they should start looking for non-extradition countries sooner rather than later.
DOGE did exactly what it wanted to do:
- let Musk kill brown people in South Africa
- give Musk access to our data
- eliminate the people in government who knew what they were doing, which allowed Musk to protect his businesses from investigation
- let Republicans falsely claim they cut spending

"Are you human?"
"That's not a #relevant question."
"Seems pretty damn relevant to me."
"Why? Do you want to bear my offspring?"
"What? I... No!"
"Then my species matters as little as whether I am heterosexual or something else."
"Oh."
"I like to cuddle, though. Just keep your bits covered."

I will agree to war with Venezuela only if every government leader's child or grandchild who is of age joins the marines and gets deployed there. If it's so important, let's see the cream of the elite lead the charge.
That includes Barron Trump. Your dad declared war, kid, and you have to go.

Currently re-watching "The Big Short" - pausing frequently so I don't to start building guillotines - but I wanted to remind myself exactly how much all the rich people and government types are a-holes.
This is not a feel good movie but then I've been in a dark mood most of the day.

That moment when you think of a really funny joke response in a thread about a part of Jewish culture ... but you're a goy so you can't possibly post it.

Having lottery fantasies again but I know I'm getting older because this time, they include certain charitable donations.
Just give me enough for a good dog, a good car, medical expenses and travel expenses for the rest of my life, and I know where at least some of the rest is going.

When Forbes (whose entire purpose is analyzing businesses and investments) thinks promoting a lottery is a good use of their reporters' time, the economy is in DEEP shit, no matter what the numbers say.

If movies have taught me anything, it's that you can be the worst p.o.s. in the world for decades but all your evil in pursuit of riches will be forgiven if you do one good deed, preferably at Christmas.

(I'm subskeeting because I don't want to be blocked just because I'm disagreeing with someone.)

There are many things I hate about Ronald Reagan, but he also said this and Republicans today who worship Reagan, in the abstract, conveniently forget this:

Settling in to re-watch "The Usual Suspects".
Yes, Spacey is damaged and quite possibly a monster, but it's a good movie, even when you know what happens.
