It does indeed come from the Tweet he posted, but his interpretation of it is off. It’s just about how tech companies will try to create tech from sci-fi, where said tech was originally envisioned by the author and depicted in the sci-fi as bad or dangerous

I don't think the underlying desires are particularly bad - basically, "please don't be obnoxious about donations, and please mark spoilers", both of which I can appreciate (although the former seems very subjective). But to couch it as an EULA instead of just a personal request is something
