Yet another plea to people who are using or following people off follow-farming hashtags like #NoDemUnder1K, #NoDemUnder5K, #BlueCrew, #FBR, etc etc: please do not do that, it's how disinformation operations work. I'm already seeing accounts in those hashtags that are likely disinformation ops. 1/

This account's followers are mostly ... between 1 month and 14 days old with little to zero posts, their follower numbers are relatively small. Many using AI generated pfp. Very sus bunch.

I get a lot of people, usually the fucking follow farmers and the Hashtag Resistance grifters, whining at me about my blocklists, especially the follow farming list, because "there are so many good people on it!" and that *must* mean that I'm exploiting block lists to blah blah blah blah blah

I love when the follow farmers accuse me of trying to sabotage and censor the Democratic Party because the list of follow farmers is nearly entirely resistance grifters. Buddy. First of all, the list is all resistance grifters because they're the ones doing the fucking follow farming.

This practice is an open invitation for state run troll, bot farms, and bad actors of all sorts.

I have anywhere between dozens to hundreds of mutuals following each account in this network. Each account has gained thousands of followers, and most of them still have a “new user” sun next to their name.

Even if I vet my own follows, I’d still have to block/mute to remove it from my feeds.
