A Senate vote on extending the ACA subsidies is supposed to occur the second week of December, but it is NOT A PART OF THE LEGISLATIVE TEXT.

The Senate still has to debate amendments & then vote for the final language. Then the bill has to go back to the House for a vote on final passage.

40 day shutdown for this...I know this isn't over but c'mon, we all saw this. How do those 8 Dems not see it?

I'm on the same side as you, trust me. We just worked our tails off to get the massive Dem victories last week, it feels defeating to see this outcome. The world is looking at us and it looks like capitulation to fascism. My frustration is warranted.

Folks were wanting Dems to hold the line on healthcare. This goes back to the “we always fold” or “both parties are the same” trope.

As we know this is based on vibes more than substance and we’re back to discourse within the Brandolini dynamic.
