Time to take a social media break. Hit my limit to the point of being unhelpful. We are fighting with our hands tied behind our backs thanks to 8 white Senators who showed that the GOP can weaponize hunger to win. That pure evil is a winning strategy. GOP will do this again.

It sucks knowing that these 8 Senators DGAF about what the American people said last week with their votes. SNAP was getting funded through a court order and I’m not on board with the “we lost healthcare in the last budget battle” talking point. We shouldn’t have caved then either.

The Senate still has to debate amendments & then vote for the final language. Then the bill has to go back to the House for a vote on final passage.

Its a certain demographic who needed to be "motivated off their couches" to vote. Who "need fighters." Or need "excitement"/ someone they can "share a beer with." Politics is not your personal soap opera or wrestling match. And your lack of political enthusiasm without a side show causes real harm!

The ACA subsidies are gone, they're not coming back until Democrats take power again. The reason they were the ask is because this shutdown was timed perfectly for the election, and the ACA subsidies are popular and the Republicans are on the wrong side of them.

The House is never going to restore the ACA subsidies. The best case scenario that does not involve Democrats striking some kind of deal with Thune to get SOMETHING more than the clean CR the House already passed is Republicans nuking the filibuster and passing the clean CR anyways.
