You truly could not be more wrong with this post. This is an appropriations bill that leaves funding for science agencies largely flat despite the year-long assault on them. This took months of hard negotiations. It is critical for Congress to reassert its appropriating authority.

Bob you’re making the correct distinction between FY26 approps (votes happening between now and Oct), and this budget reconciliation bill, which is a different sort of beast. And agreed the approps fight is incredibly urgent to save science funding.
