I called the Cure, Depeche Mode & U2 & their kinda around the time albums (Joshua Tree/Disentegration/Violator, Achtung Baby/Wish/Songs of Faith & Devotion) my holy trinities. ✨️✨️

I love this. The synth phrase develops differently, but I think it reminds me just a bit of one of the synth parts in Depeche Mode's It's No Good that leads into the verse. It's the rhythm. To me, that connection of the title line of the DM song to the points about injustice in Siberry's piece=✨️
