The best gift I've received all year is the love and friendship of some pretty awesome folks. Can't be wrapped or put under a tree but it's a gift that keeps on giving.

Watching my mom shrink, trying to fatten her up, but her appetite is almost non existent. I know she's 90 but I want her around for many more years.
p.s. she DOES have an appointment to see a gastro doc in a few weeks. I just wish I could do something

Watching four DTE workers trying to get a bucket truck under the pavilion in the park behind my house instead of going around through the other entrance.

My SO put me through hell when recovering from a stroke. Mean, nasty, snippy and just evil. Now he's talking about getting knee replacement surgery, and I warned him if he does he needs to check his attitude, I'm not putting up with being treated like shit again.

The real reason I do it all myself is that asking for help falls on deaf ears. It's a sad realization that it's OK for me to work 40 hours a week and am still expected to do it all when my partner is unemployed and could be contributing. There is nothing he does that I can't do myself.
