Fall #bird migration over. So, sharing shots of last western #tanagers. Think there's 1 or 2 that hang in garden @ #fortmason #sanfrancisco all year, locals now. The rest, I guess I'll see next year when they return. Hmm, wonder which new #birds I'll see this winter...? #birding #nature #wildlife

Caught these wild red masked #parrots or #parakeets flying through #fortmason early October in #sanfrancisco. Notice, a few are without red mask on face. They're juveniles and won't get full coloring for another year or so apparently. Wild parrots fly all over city. #birds #birders

Here's a couple of white #pelicans flying over #fortmason in #sanfrancisco. The white #pelican is rare here but get them sometimes . They usually don't fly over this park since coast is nearby. But it was cloudy so they flew different path to get to shoreline. Lucky day. #birds #SuperSeabirdSunday

Went to see #FleetWeekSF in #sanfrancisco. Miss the #usnavy, #blueangels etc. But Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Patriots Jet Team, Ace Maker, Randy Howell & Cory Lovell, Jack Aces and United Airlines were great. Thanks! #CFSnowbirds #sfbayarea

Got this shot of fledling #mockingbird I believe. He was on top of a planter trellis in community garden where people #bird in city. Guess the folks were grocery shopping while he waited for them to come back. #birds #fortmason #sanfrancisco #birding

#pelicans don't even look like real birds sometimes. Even up close look so bizarre compared to a sparrow. This bird is as as tall as I am if it stands, but so thin. I see them fishing in uncharacteristic places sometimes & like many, worry about their future. #seabirds #birds #birdphotography

More brown #pelican @ #crissyfield in #sanfrancisco. Good to get close enough to photography color. When flying they always look cool but can't get the color under eyes or around pouch. #seabirds #birds #birdphotography #bayarea #nature

Brown #pelicans in #sanfrancisco usually can't get that close unless in boat. They roost on mudflats, middle of water. So usually they're a few dozen ft away. But he right by me on bridge at #crissyfield #presidio, briefly, as he searched for fish. #seabirds #birds #birdphotography #bayarea #nature
