Here's a mini-comic I made for bluesky to help folks get started:

A post it board with a sign that says "WHO". In the signage is an octopus mermaid with a squid for a head head waving at the camera, he says: "Hi I'm Chico D. Mar

The merman has his human arms crossed behind his back and three of his tentacles are pointing now at a comic panel.
"I draw a webcomic called Wet Frontier! It's all about merpeople in the wild west."

The post it board asks "WHERE" In the board we see a drawing of an abstract planet of water split into 3 layers. The top layer has an ice castle fenced by cactus rocks. In the middle is a watery landscape of ruins with a volcano down the middle.
In the bottom is a cave system of glowing light. Some islands can be seen hovering in the space besides the planet. The outlines of monsters hover about the outer rim.
There is text that reads "Welcome to Logue! The land of beginnings and endings!"

The post it board asks "Why and how" The squid man is to the left and shrugs all his tentacles and he says, "I have no idea" A mermaid appears to the right and says "The answer is fish"

I love the way you used the limited palette here, and not just because green is my favorite color.

It's odd seeing Kidd with two arms again after so long even if this was in 2022.

Yeah. I get it, as an indie creator, I totally get it. It's how it's always been in other mediums in the past.

Nothing much else to do but keep trying. Every now and then you get a Hollow Knight of a Hades.

Or your more minor successes that still guarantee their studio's survival.

I see your point, but games exist in the same advertising sphere. And it's an uneven field by both nostalgia and money spent on ad campaigns.

This is why I watch your channel for these things. I rely on folks like you or the many other indie youtubes sticking up for the indies.

for just getting those behind the scenes look at animated features, because at that time these home releases meant something. They needed these bonuses to excite people about them.

It was like a second life for the films hearing from the staff behind the scenes.

I remember when the Aladdin DVD came out in 06, there were so many bonus features all about the artist and animators.

I hate being nostalgic, but it really felt like that short time after the release of Lord of the Rings extended DVD and its wealth of bonus features was the greatest time-

It's like, she could be someone else's villain if she tipped the wrong way; and even seems to view herself as that, but she holds back against that.
I wonder if she wishes she could just snap and not care, but she can't stop caring?
That just makes her so interesting to me.

I love how anger and cynicism seeps into every aspect of her being even when she knows it's to her detriment.
And it feels like she's fighting against herself half the time as much as the rest of the world.

Yeah, you could break it down as a cynical and artificial dopamine rush. I guess I just like to see it as a neat moment in time.

But maybe that's just me. After all, all the stuff just being there would be better. But for that moment each week it feels less about the app, and just the game itself.

I think it's really just for a moment in time where Paper Mario TTYD is on the front page of something again. We don't need to search it out, it's just a headliner for a moment in time.

It's less about the ability to access the music as much as it is the message in it being there.

I have the remake in my backlog, and am still holding out on a future patch to get the game to 60. But Thousand Year Door means so much to me.

Looking back, this game was what made me fall in love with large casts of colorful non-human characters, but everyone still filled with so much charm.
