I'm afraid we're multiple listens per day in and dangerously close to this album becoming (however temporarily) my whole personality.
Today in "albums which surprise me by delivering so much more than I expected". Fascinating mix of classical (basically opera at points), flamenco + more contemporary sounds. Gonna take a few listens to decide exactly what I make of this but on first listen it's a win.

We were bad. We had bad luck at points. Both things can be true and one doesn't excuse or nullify the other. Most important thing is that the back room do some serious, urgent analysis and come up with solutions.

We are not going to win the lot in May.
Not getting carried away or anything like, but if we win again on Sunday I'm backing us to win the lot in May.

Whew, the Kenny Dalglish documentary. You know what's coming towards the end, but it still hits like a train wreck.
A great study of the man and his context, as Kapadia's docs usually are. Have a feeling that in the UK it'll have a singularly Red audience, but would recommend it to everyone.

Thanks Bluesky people for getting me to watch #CelebrityTraitors! I've never watched the regular one, coz I'm truly terrible at keeping up with shows. But when EVERYONE was talking about Ep 1 I had to give it a go, and have just had so much fun watching!!

Wirtz incredible. Bradley amazing. Robbo showing once again why he deserves his place. Macca back to her best. To be honest, nobody across the pitch put in a performance that was less than 8 out of 10. 🔴

Tell you what, Liverpool turning round from being utterly abject against Palace on Wednesday, to completely fantastic against Real six days later, says a lot about the power of determination. Incredible performance all round 🔴

As problematic as the contest is right now, last night I finished my playlist for an evening next week and it's end-to-end 💯 bangers, which still gives me so much joy. Still holding out hope the right decision is reached in December so I can keep collecting more.

🇷🇴🇧🇬 all the news of their return has done is given me another reason to be annoyed at the EBU. Because I should be delighted that countries are coming back, but it's all so tainted by just being a distraction to the elephant in the room.

Much, much more like it from the Reds tonight 🔴🔴. Really good to see us looking like we're enjoying being on a footie pitch.

Not going out *for* Halloween exactly - off to see Self Esteem in conversation instead. But I'm wearing merch which does happen to double as signifying one of the scariest things out there #6musicdad

I'm not dedicated enough to be a full-on wellness girl but this morning I've been to the gym before work, had one of their fancy smoothies after session, and do now feel annoyingly great. I see why they do it.

Well that was truly a dire performance wasn't it 😑. Staying off here for a bit now now to avoid Traitors spoilers, but yeah just hoping we threw it to come out all guns blazing Saturday and Tuesday...

On my way into town, to watch the Reds tonight 🔴⚽. I've stayed off socials around the games; prefer to keep my frustrations amongst Real People. And when I told myself I'd be less intense about it this season, I didn't think this would be why!
But we still go, still support. And hopefully they win.

My beloved headphones have broken 😭 Five years impeccable service, and overnight one of the ears has stopped working.
Think I'm finally pushed into moving to totally wireless, but am I weird worrying about them staying in when running? Always feel like I'm adjusting current ones.

Ooh, you know when you finally get round to listening to an artist you've heard lots of people talking about, and it's not at all what you expect but in the best possible way? That's me this afternoon. This is very very good & much more "my thing" than I'd have guessed!

It's a shame that the Cavern doesn't do more original music nights. Decent enough venue - good lines of sight, could feel lively even if not full. Plus would make sense for "the legendary Cavern" to provide a base for new artists to grow. Surely the tourist bar makes enough ££ to cover it?

Wasn't really in the right mood when I arrived at Sam Ryder last night, but goddammit his energy is still so infectious that it got even me onside in the end.

Have decided I won't be at Eurofest this weekend after all and while I'm very sad that I'll be missing Fyr Og Flamme, London is just not a place I need to exist in right now.

Realised the other day that I still have these. Had decided not to sell, but getting them framed is much more expensive than I'd bargained for. So they're currently just languishing in my wardrobe, which feels rather sad.
Random plug, but I've currently got this lovely set of #YSL silk scarves up for sale on Vestiaire. Depicting the four seasons, made for a 1983 Met YSL retrospective. Let me know if you want to know more.
I love them, but I bought them to hang as art and I can't make it work in the house.
