Its seriously a bit of a frustration trigger. An overly 'helpful' autocorrect or automatic function has the same reaction from me as something falling over because I accidentally bumped it or didnt place it far enough back on the shelf. I get a spike of anxiety, curse the item, and my hatred grows.

The older I get the more I think the niche i did miss by washing out of writing about games was being an ND advocate in the space. As accessibility comes more into the forefront ND gamers have more to talk about then the advocacy around predatory monetization Stephanie Sterling did.

They had a reasonably in depth set of conversations around silksong and E33 about how their level of skill at games is not typical in a nice self aware fashion so I feel like the talking with the opposite end of that spectrum but just as much of an obsessive game/game design nerd could have legs.

I'll never forget soul caliber 3 including the most interesting mode idea id ever seen. A strategy game that lifted from ogre battle to fiddle with....and I never played it again because the single player AI was a vicious monster and there was no difficulty modes. An absolute embarrassment.

Like....seriously maybe I just want to play a fucking video game not be pushed to train for a fucking kumite. Even the single player modes will have difficulty spikes to beat my ass to try and make me 'good enough' for that mode I dont like.
