International Relations researcher at the University of Edinburgh. In my doctoral research, I examined portrayals of the Japanese Military and how they use popular culture. My broader interests are gender, Japan, postmodernity and military.
It's been an amazing journey and even with all the stress and hardships of academic life it has ultimately given me so much joy. I've met so many brilliant and wonderful people in these last few years and I'm already excited (if a little scared) about what's next!
