His eyes are expressive. But I'm not confident Tyra would certify any of his expressions as a smize.

But yeah mistake on their part to not just flag it for 'contains nuts' versus 'peanuts' specifically, but like me they probably considered peanuts to be the important one and not even consider there's people where peanuts are safe but other nuts aren't.

I can see the assumption that "peanut warning means that's the only nut" but also that a peanut warning means "nuts are in play" and check for mixed nuts?
They just list the one or two most common allergy warnings, otherwise they'd have to list eggs and basically the whole recipe for each dish.

If you're talking all-electric there was the mx-30 but they discontinued it. Or you mean the cx-50 hybrid where they drop in a whole Toyota powerplant instead of their Skyactiv.

It's still a great car otherwise. Thoughtful physical UI. And every other manufacturer has the spyware too, this one just accidentally made it obvious. There are rumours you can get Mazda to turn off the data collection if you ask the right person the right way.

The 360 camera is an amazing feature though. No more uncertainty about where I really am in that parking spot, or curb proximity on the parallel park.

Oh man, and this was the BEST option in my estimation for still having physical buttons and dials instead of a take-your-eyes-off-the-road touchscreen.
Forever grumpy I can't get a manual transmission anymore in something that fits the family. Was torn between this and an old sport wagon...

This is a cx-50, not hybrid. I think all Mazda models with this generation infotainment (circa ~3 years ago) have this problem, once you hit 3 years or someone sells it used and deactivates their app, the spyware starts failing authentication or whatever.

You can turn off "connected services" but then every time you start the car it throws a warning that it's shut off and the default acknowledgement is "enable".

Love waiting 3 weeks for an appointment to waste my time dropping off and picking up a car so they can have it all day just to plug in a usb stick for 5 minutes. To fix something I don't want in the first place.
And with a bug that stupid you can imagine my trust in their privacy and security.

I just had to take my car to the dealership for a software update because an uncloseable warning filling the whole speedometer screen "internal network malfunction, get vehicle inspected" which is code for "Mazda spyware can't phone home (because it was incompetently programmed)"

Real Sliding Doors situation. 50/50 chance now of a dramatically different haircut.

He jumped up to block the throw, so yeah. Interference. Tried to disguise it but it was a dirty play.
If he just kept running on the regular base path and got hit then no.

He was already out with the force at 2nd, but because he was judged to be intentionally getting in the way of the play the runner going to first was also called out.

Oh yeah a faulty alternator could BE the drain if the diode went bad.
A $20 multimeter will tell you what's wrong almost instantly. If it's parasitic drain it's up to how much time you want to spend pulling and replacing one fuse at a time to find the circuit responsible.

Do you have a multimeter? Check the voltage across the battery terminals when it's running and if it says 14V your alternator is charging it fine.
If the battery gets killed from the car sitting, sounds like parasitic drain. Can also check for that with a multimeter. (Amp draw when off)

Maybe not as good as it felt when I was strolling by a softball game with my kids and barely broke stride to barehand catch a low foul ball and no-bounce fire it back to the pitcher to cheers from both teams

Good risk/reward design though, makes for an easy quadruple play with the simple force at 2nd
