Congress can stop this any time they want
In the last 6 hours, Trump has imposed:

- A 100% tariff on medicine unless its producer starts building a new U.S. factory in the next 5 days
- A 50% tariff on kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities
- A 30% tariff on upholstered furniture
- A 25% tariff on “Heavy (Big!) Trucks”

Why have independent journalists if they choose not to report important topics?
The government is putting more and more pressure on journalists reporting on ICE.

We all must speak out against these chilling tactics.
ICE wants to work in secret. We shouldn’t let it
Journalism about ICE is increasingly under attack by officials who prefer government propaganda

Saudis gave Jarod $2B to play with. UAE gives Barron $2B. Hmm. Seems clean to me.
The Trump family’s cryptocurrency business just got a $2B investment from a firm backed by the United Arab Emirates government.

With this deal, they will be enriched beyond most people’s comprehension—and they have the UAE government to thank for it.

So what's next after today's May Day mobilizations?

On June 14, Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday.

But real power isn't staged in DC. It rises up everywhere else. That's why we're planning a nationwide day of action to say No Kings. 🧵

Days after issuing a $3.8B contract to build an immigrant tent detention camp in Fort Bliss, ICE canceled it.

The awarding and cancellation of such a large contract in such a short time is highly unusual in recent years, a ProPublica review found.

Crooked MF. Greatly expanded and no effort to hide compared to Trump1.0. If only we had a DoJ.
This doesn’t create the “appearance” of corruption or set up the “potential” for conflict of interest. It is corruption, and it’s a standing conflict of interest. Patently, and historically.

For nearly 60 days, no food, fuel, medicine or other items has entered the Gaza Strip, blocked by Israel.

Aid groups are running out of food to distribute. Markets are nearly bare.

Palestinian families are left struggling to feed their children.
