The way the press is treating chatbots, like they have agency and they “know” things all of a sudden, crossed the line recently from dumb and obsequious to something else entirely. Treating them as alive and making conscious decisions is an almost religious belief. It won’t age well.

At first I thought “it’s good that this notorious conservative helped pass a bill that hurts trans people and imprisons their allies because she followed proper procedure for it” was a too on the nose parody of American libs but uhhh nope this is just a real journalist guy with followers huh
She helped pass a bill—which is 100% part of liberalism. Maybe you don’t like the bill. Maybe the bill will hurt some people and have bad outcomes. But that’s part of liberal democracy.
