As the Trump admin predictably rolls the National Guard into the streets and a Republican army of enablers roots for military violence against Americans, some words on why, and the way forward.
This reminds me how little fake Melania we’ve gotten this time around. It’s as if they’re spending all this time on crimes and pedophile coverups and violent oppressive racism that they forgot what the people really want—multiple versions of the First Lady in public because Trump is so repulsive.

Thing is, part of the reason they went to Minnesota is because Trump felt like he lost to the protests over George Floyd because he wasn’t violent enough. And for someone as racist and insecure as him, he was always going to take the opportunity for a rematch.
If the admin's strategic goal was to break public resistance to immigration enforcement activities, it was a tactical mistake to go to the Twin Cities.

after what happened with Twitter I’m deeply skeptical people will abandon a social network they’re invested in over an ownership change but if they really are immediately censoring TikTok in a notable way in the aftermath of a radicalizing event there’s a chance they actually fuck up this transition
