Day 17/30 #30daysbooksbywomen: Best known for her debut series The Grishaverse, Leigh Bardugo's The Familiar (2024) is a more recent historical fantasy that marks her as a mature writing talent. Magic and manipulative politics change the life of a scullery maid in 1500s Madrid.
