My U.S. Representative is excited about the idea of dismanteling the Dept. Of Ed. In other words, in favor of diverting funds from public schools and creating homogenous environments.

Fun with readily available data: in Michigan, since 2007 26,291,529 ballots have been cast. In that same time frame, 19 people here have been convicted of voter fraud. Only 1 of those was not a citizen.

Of the 791,423 citizens in our district, 335,053 use public health coverage and 36,963 have no health coverage. 158,371 are 65 years old or older. 112,480 adults have a disability. 44,240 are civilian veterans. 13.8% of your constituents live in the poverty (national average= 11.6%).
