Chigago ranks 9th in cities with highest homicides rates PER CAPITA at 29.6 per 100,000 residents. Far above the national rate of 6.8 pew 100K. Nothing to be proud of, & probably higher since many democrat run cities skew the numbers.

Here are the cities with the highest homicide rates. The cities are all majority democrat voters & run by democrats regardless of how the rest of the state votes.

How many of the "red state" cities with high homicide rates (Memphis, Atlanta, New Orleans, St. Louis. Louisville. etc) have ever in the last 2 decades had a Republican mayor? Look at the voting map. Most of US homicides happen in the tiny blue spots.
