Why helping Republicans end the shutdown — right now, and for nothing — is a terrible idea.
If Trump continues to violate court orders on SNAP, we should withhold payment of money owed to the federal government. My bill, the RECOURSE Act, would establish a process for New York to do this, but state and city officials could act without it, and they should.
