British Transport Police's decision to not investigate bike thefts outside train stations where bikes have been left for more than two hours is really concerning. It could effectively decriminalise it.

Together with Lib Dem colleagues I've written to the BTP to get clarity.

For the Lib Dems on here, you will know there are internal party elections on at the moment and I am standing to be President. Here's my manifesto. Feel free to contact me with any questions you have, either here or via [email protected]

After a lifetime supporting Labour I joined the Lib Dems, I still like and respect many in Labour, I love one, my wife! But I became increasingly frustrated with the top down management of Labour. I want an evidence based, non dogmatic, non vested interests, compassionate politics. Join us.

Starmer, Badenoch and Farage are all competing to pinch ideas from Donald Trump to make Britain more isolated and insular.

Instead, Liberal Democrats will make the case for internationalism, cooperation and working closely with our allies in Europe and across the Commonwealth.

If you don't think that the Overton Window has shifted right in recent years ... here's Reform AND the Tories going beyond what the BNP suggested in 2005.

They want to expel legally permanent British residents.

Frankly I weep every day for what my country has become.

David is slightly unfair. There is a clear difference here.

Conservatives and Reform plan to forcibly expel large numbers of people who are legal, permanent residents of migrant origin. The BNP proposal is voluntary.

This below is from the 2005 BNP manifesto.

Tory party conference got you down?

Far-right rhetoric left you feeling scared for the future?

Then why not take a minute to enjoy eighteen (18) pictures of Ed Davey on a pumpkin farm with young carers 🎃🚜

Anybody who still says this and means it after the last decade is an idiot or a liar. No exceptions

So make it voluntary

I don’t think we need a review. The military/mod just need the personnel to actually patrol the perimeter fence. It’s not complicated.

This whole thread is absolutely peak Bluesky. Dear Americans, not everything is about you.

Announcing this on a board where Americans are in the fight of their lives against a fascist takeover may be a pointer....

Ok sure but then you at least need to follow that to its logical conclusion and check the percentage difference in vote share compared to the percentage difference in media coverage.

Lib Dems on Kent's Reform council: "It turns out cribbing the notes of dodgy American tech billionaires is no way to run a council.

"Zia Yusuf should personally apologise to the people of Kent."
michael-fox.bsky.social
OK Jon it has been fun but honestly I am sorry for wasting your time by intruding with my assumption that words have meaning or that people may mean the things they say and write down and vote on and call policies. If nothing means anything then ok sure whatever.
michael-fox.bsky.social
it isn't a statement of intent it is a 6 stage plan setting out what they would do which would inevitably completely end the private market over night. Have you read it?
michael-fox.bsky.social
That is assuming that all these people want to live in council houses which is a pretty big assumption
michael-fox.bsky.social
How is my interpretation extreme? There are 4.7 million households in private rent and the policy sets out no realistic way to house those people except to build council houses which is going to take at least 30 years being as generous as I can be. it isn't a plan its a fantasy for the gullible
