I've started White Nights and it's...fine? We learn one character was so buckwild that she had to be pinned by her skirt to her grannie's skirt. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that she is extraordinarily inept at making healthy choices.

It's whatever this many is, minus one, because I left my bag at a bus stop back in December and it had a Marseille deck in it.
I'm not skilled in any kind of divinatory art; I think they're real pretty, and have found them helpful in personal work.

When I was real sad once I bought a Wiccan amount of crystals and prisms and I still get real sad sometimes, but I also get this effect when I'm reading in bed in the afternoon.

Since Z&I will never have kids, cats is the closest we'll get & I have found it queerly affecting watching the parent he is. If that had been in the cards for us, those kids would have been alright. (I know people feel Certain Ways at "pets as children" and those assholes can fuck all the way off.)

It's not a decision I love. My friend Steve really helped me a lot. The context in which he put Fosco's life for me -- eternally in the present, not lamenting some mythic lost future or wallowing unhelpfully in the past -- gave me the courage to do the right thing.

But I want to stick w/that preface, bc it gives us a good look at the way Henty is structuring his argument. (This is where I think there is nascent antisemitism. Also, it's very important to be super clear: this is my first time through and I'm on chapter 2. I only know what I know now.)
