“Lifestyle choices” don’t kill
It’s about poverty, which limits a person’s ability to make meaningful choices
You, & these researchers, push outdated behaviourist (Thatcherite) solutions, ignoring the systems & contexts in which people live
You are gaslighting the poor

The UK's only truly affordable housing - our social homes - has been decimated by the right-to-buy scheme.

We found that 40% of homes bought under the scheme are now owned by private landlords, exacerbating the housing crisis - in @theguardian.com today

www.theguardian.com/society/2025...
Screengrab from Guardian reading: The UK’s affordable housing stock has fallen from a peak of 5.5m in the 1970s to 4.1m today, despite huge population growth over this period. Freedom of information requests compiled by the New Economics Foundation show that more than 40% of homes purchased under the scheme are now owned by private landlords.
