This is heartbreaking. The OL of Guadalupe Mass and Carrera Guadalupana in my old parish in Brooklyn is a huge event including all the parishes in the massively Hispanic Brooklyn/Queens diocese. I hate to think what effect this will have on that devotion this year.

Of course he wouldn’t go after any of the billion dollar corporations contributing to the problem—Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Frito Lay—but a perfectly wholesome dessert that even people who eat carrot cake have maybe twice a year. They have no idea how real people live.
