One of my great-great grandmothers was born the year the American Civil War ended and a couple years after Italian unification, and died the year *after* I was born. History is not so very long ago!

I’m trying to imagine what it would mean for an *idea* to cross the border illegally and how exactly ICE would stop that from happening. Perhaps it’s my lack of imagination, but I’m not coming up with anything that doesn’t look like fascism.
