Here’s what you can expect from me on BlueSky.

- Newsday’s coverage of Long Island High School sports

- Fantasy football and NFL takes, although fewer than I used to have.

- Game coverage, career updates, random thoughts. Maybe a video game take here or there.
The Knicks cannot win this game with Karl Anthony-Towns on the court as he is now.

Concedes points one way and chucks up shots the other way.

It’s May 2025, and I’m still sending trade offers for Kendre Miller.

Zero regrets. This is the year.

Everyone’s ripping the Ravens language when releasing Justin Tucker, but idk.

I kinda enjoy knowing it’s obviously for criminal actions while the franchise repeatedly demands it’s only cutting Tucker because he’s flat-out awful.

I haven’t done the level of research on the 2025 class that I’ve done every year since 2020. Just haven’t had the time.

That hasn’t stopped me from doing a mock draft, though.

Rip me apart. In a draft without trades, only one QB goes in the first round, and that’s Cam Ward.

If anyone’s already played Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered, let me know what you think.

Buying it myself soon and having never played the original, I can’t wait to get going.

The camera work on that cut from Alexander-Walker’s game-winning free throw to Russell Westbrook’s face should be shown in every university classroom related to production.

And sent to me. Plz.

USMNT losing to Panama and Canada in a week span, bring on Greenland and make it a trifecta of Ls.
March 24, 2025 at 12:17 AM
I pulled off a few huge dynasty trades this week. Here’s one; What do you think?

1QB, PPR. Contending, well-rounded team.

🥶: Brian Thomas Jr., Khalil Herbert (IND, he has JT)

🤬: Saquon Barkley, A.J. Dillon (PHI), Tony Pollard

It’s never been so over
Panama shocks the USMNT in the Nations League semifinal, winning 1-0 on a stoppage-time winning goal.

For the first time in this competition’s brief history, Concacaf will have a new Nations League champion

In addition to the bigger problems, calling Jackie Robinson unworthy demonstrates an unbelievable lack of ball-knowing. Upon hearing "they called Jackie Robinson DEI," normal people will be astounded to learn how little ball the regime knows. Impossible to know less ball

Someone please tell Louisville that defense isn’t optional if they want to play another game this month…
March 20, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Josh Uche is the IDP version of Khalil Herbert.

I still think he’s good based on a small sample size years ago, and I can’t quit him.

But I’ve been given no reason to think he’ll suddenly turn it around.

If you're looking for more fantasy accounts to follow, @petedavidsonny.bsky.social did a great job putting together multiple starter packs for fantasy

Patrick Jones II made himself a market after a strong 2024 season with Minnesota.

Carolina taking a shot on a bit of an unknown here. Would’ve felt better about this move if the Panthers had landed Milton Williams
March 10, 2025 at 8:14 PM
Jeremy Chinn will try to fill the role Pete Carroll wanted for Jamal Adams in Seattle. Signing makes sense.
March 10, 2025 at 8:03 PM
It’s fascinatingly terrible watching the Texans try to support C.J. Stroud while watching the Bears actually supporting Caleb Williams.

The contrast is wild.
March 10, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Aaron Banks to the Packers just makes a lot of sense.

Fits the mold Green Bay has always had for their guards and further protects Jordan Love before he takes an even larger beating than he has in recent years.

All while taking a piece off the 49ers.

Bears getting tough on both sides of the trenches this offseason. First Dayo Odeyingbo after a sea of OL signings, and now DT Grady Jarrett.

3 years, $43.5 million is a lot of money for a run-stuffer, but I imagine Chicago’s vision for Jarrett, a 10-year vet, isn’t limited to the football field.
March 10, 2025 at 7:30 PM
Dyami Brown to the Jaguars feels similar to them signing Donte Moncrief to the same deal years ago, albeit for different reasons.

A solid deep threat on a prove-it deal. Lots of money, but that’s one thing Jacksonville has.
March 10, 2025 at 7:20 PM
$22 million for Samaje Perine to the Bucs refuted by Tampa Bay GM Jason Licht himself.

If it’s too bad to be true, sometimes it is.
March 10, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Josh Palmer for $36 million over three years is obscene.

He’s had every opportunity to improve from his 700-yard season in 2022 and hasn’t.

Palmer’s a rotational guy going for WR2/3 money. I get what the Bills want from their WR room, but not my favorite deal.
March 10, 2025 at 7:16 PM
The 49ers signing Luke Farrell all but confirms Brenton Strange or a rookie will be starting at tight end for Jacksonville in 2025.

San Francisco has always valued its secondary and tertiary tight ends, so not too surprised here.
March 10, 2025 at 7:14 PM
That’s a ton of money for Josh Sweat, but the fit couldn’t be more perfect.

He reunited with former Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon and fills a massive need for the Cardinals at a premium position.

Solid signing.
March 10, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Talanoa Hufanga is a tremendous signing by Denver.

His health is an obvious caveat, but his talent is undeniable. He’s a perfect lurking presence behind an already stout secondary.
March 10, 2025 at 7:13 PM
Dayo Odeyingbo signs with the Bears.

Felt like he never really hit his full potential with the Colts. Maybe he can with the Bears, but would’ve liked a more consistent pass-rushing threat for $48
Million.

Depends on the guarantees.
