I just find it odd that it’s been the lead content on Chinese social media apps since yesterday but not featuring in Australia at all. Does anyone here look at Rednote?

Can’t verify it but it’s being widely shared on Rednote and Douyin, Chinese TikTok

Odd that this dashcam footage of a ‘second hero’ who disarmed one of the gunmen is all over Chinese media but not being reported in Australia?

This is dashcam footage before the second guy got to the bridge. Looks like when they just got out of the car

Odd that this dashcam footage of a ‘second hero’ who disarmed one of the gunmen early on is all over Chinese media but not being reported in Australia ?

The stills are from a video reportedly taken by Jenny, a Chinese woman who told her story to the Xiaoxiang Morning Post #bondi

Looks great, would love to hike in Norway too. Instead, I'm heading back to Yunnan in early 2026 for a 100 day trek across the Hengduan mountains - helping to establish China's first equivalent long distance hiking route to the Appalachian Trail/PCT

It worries me that my neighbours in suburbia could have six or more high powered rifles on their property. They need council planning permission for a shed but not for a stash of lethal firearms?

You askin’?

I’m askin’

Which reminds me of this statistic on modern romance highlighted by David Hepworth and Mark Ellen on their Word in Your Ear podcast: 45% of young males have never directly approached a young woman in person. podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/w...

All I remember of Emma is going on a date with her the next weekend in York. Took my mate Don along for a pub crawl where we nearly got chinned by ‘Finchy’ type York lads who took exception to a couple of posers from Leeds chatting to their birds.

I remember little about Emma from York who gave me her number after we met on the dance floor at the Warehouse in Leeds in 1980.
But Steve (who I met at Futurama) went on to have a chart topping single with a cover of a Prince song. Can you guess which one?

Cycled this today and it’s great. Continued on down Cooks River cycle path all the way to airport.
