Just saying- planting native plants does not need to be hard. You don't need to entirely re-landscape your whole yard.

Figure out which milkweed is native to your area, and get some in the groud this spring. Water it, it'll be fine!

Here's a place to buy plants:

Such a cool concept in a not-so-cool climate. Wonder how active the community is for the six months of the year when average high temps are 90-100° F. Moving to DC from the PNW shifted my whole concept of summer. In DC, summer is not a time to be outside. Maybe Tempe is more bearable since it’s dry?

Since breaking ground in 2021, Culdesac Tempe has had its share of detractors and skeptics. But none of them live there.

That’s my girl 🙌🏼 To my space-loving, science obsessed kid (and all kids) — the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning 👩‍🚀🚀

The words of encouragement and hearing your own success stories as women in science brought tears to this mama who never believed science was for me. She’s in good hands 🙏🏼
At the DC #standupforscience today.

The question was “Why are you here?” She came up with this on her own! (I helped her with the spelling)

So proud of her! #standupforscience2025
