I will add that a lot of bots get taken out by automatic systems within a few hours, so people are only likely to see those ones if that check Bluesky in the window before they are banned.
This also means for greater peace of mind, switch off phone notifications and check Bluesky less often.

Today’s Bluesky stats:
23 accounts followed me overnight. 21 now blocked because of clear signs of botness.
2 genuine accounts.
1 account now followed back.
5 minutes of my life I won’t get back.

This level of bot glomming is unusual in my experience of Bluesky. Anyone else experiencing this, too?

One thing I will say about Middlemarch is that its bulkiness is not particularly backpack friendly. But I’m sure I will cope

#NowPlaying There are worse ways to spend an evening than listening to “The Dude with the Smooth Voice”™️ (as my oldest son refers to him). It’s a wonderful album

‘Magna Carta’ is the plural form of ‘Magnum Cartum’, the Latin for ‘ice-cream van’. The Vatican required the Latin name to be used and the vans to be heralded by monastic plainsong. Henry VIII famously broke from Rome so that the vans would be able to play Greensleeves instead.
