A few months ago I was reading “Meander, Spiral, Explode” by Jane Alison which brings the elements of design into writing. The section on color inspired me to start a color journal where I add paint and develop language and feeling around that color.

I stood here a nice long while taking in this little cluster of sane dunes. I noticed how the tips of the reeds were wavy from all the wind. I noticed little sunshine looking clovers dotting the dunes. The hints of orange from crushed coquina.
