Microbubbles in a regular #contrast agent allows for #ultrasound imaging of the finest details of #vascular structures. This is the working principle of ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM), a technique developed at 🇩🇪 @ruhr-uni-bochum.de.

A touch of the button is all it takes to improve the resolution of ultrasound images fivefold. This is down to bubbles floating in the bloodstream and a clever algorithm.
