Just wanted to say that I had all the air ducts in my house cleaned yesterday. It cost me 1000 whole dollars, but it was totally worth it.

I used to cough a bit when home, but not anymore.

And I had to turn the A/C up 2 Fahrenheits because it is now too cold.

Nice segue into Fast Cars. What an intro: caught me by surprise & took me hurtling back to when I purchased the LP on release.

thank you Graham. Always appreciate hearing from a happy listener.

Looks like Mark E Smith. ‘Shot by a Ruby’ah! Card carrying Ruby, ah! No refectory! No card identification! I was shocked, ah!’ Etc

Did you make the waxwork depiction of Ruby shooting Oswald?

Sure boss, nice and Beany, just like you asked.

What?

What?
Three waxworks depicting the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby. For reasons unknown, Oswald looks like Mr Bean.

This is what happens when you have “grease” on the sofa .. here all week

I was looking for a Lewis......
Couldn't see past Ramsey.
(Apologies to Jerry Lee, Linda, Huey, Smiley, Bobby, Furry, Huey ...)
Wade In The Water is such a great work, too. It would almost take you back to the man above. Santa, maybe, yes.
Last record on the LSwMB/MBRS.

Well, Mister Ryders .... if you're looking for a Clark ...... go no further than Chris.
I Want To Go Back There Again, a hit before she became a Motown executive.
And now on the Late Show wMB

The Long Ryders.
Whose brief flirtation with the UK singles chart started this week in 1985.
Looking For Lewis And Clark was at number 63. It would go to 59. Heady heights.
Now airing on the Late Show, home of the hits. No matter what number.

As I did not buy the original single I cannot confirm that this was the actual sleeve art. Singing by Moira Lambert and not Sarah Cracknell. Both pictured here on the day they skipped school and stole a Kawaski 250.
The hit is on the new Jon Savage compilation and the Late Show.

Is this a commentary on Bill Haley and his place in the rock pantheon?
No, probably. But it is the new one from Laptop.
An 'and son' type of group. Not many around.
Now airing on the LSwMB

Hey Hey We're The dB's!
North Carolina's answer to .... not sure, to be honest.
Had Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple in the line up. Who are always mentioned first before Will Rigby and Gene Holder. That's showbiz for you.
Big Brown Eyes now on the Late Show.

Pop stars falling off the sofa pt1.
Olivia Newton John, having the good taste to record If Not For You in the style of Beatle George. Now on the Late Show. And much superior to The Banks Of The Ohio. Which I tried to learn on a guitar in 1972.

You were told to bring a jumper.
It's Saul Adamczewski , operating under the name Insecure Men. Great new record called 'Alien' is now being heard on The Late Show wMB. Three chords, that's all you need.
Beethoven knew it, Stravinsky knew it.....

The latest collection from Jon Savage's front room.
His last for Ace, it has been suggested.
Well, this has Throwing Muses hit 'Finished' on it. Which seems appropriate.
Great record too. Although not an actual hit. But it's on the LSwMB

Well, if someone's going to release a rockin' record called Set The Night On Fire, it's going to lead to an outbreak of Doors on the Late Show. Set The NIght On Fire is from Light My Fire. And the b side of Light My Fire is The Crystal Ship. It's like putting down breadcrumbs.

Solar Eyes. New LP is out, which is why they're getting the bus into town to see if Our Price has it in stock.
Set The Night On Fire, is the new extract from 'Live Freaky! Die Freaky!'.
Excellent, as ever.
And on the Late Show.

Between shows The Smiths used to hang around Coronation Street hoping to get a break in proper showbusiness.
The Boy With The Thorn In His Side , a top twenty smash forty years ago this very week, is now on the Late Show. Which is not proper showbusiness, either.

aka DOTHS. Although if you've a name as good as Death Of The High Street, why hide it?
Unless your band puts their name on the front of the bass drum. This nugget has been out a month so I put my tardiness down to too many great records being made.
Now on the LSwMB

Yes, I know....but still. It's Sid. The fan that joined the band.
And he had a lovely singing voice. As heard on C'mon Everybody. Playing on the late show to mark another young rock and roller, gone too soon.

Did I ever say that this record sounds just absolutley brilliant?
The playing and the recording. And the pointing of Wild Billy, of course.
Their version of For Your Love now on the Late Show. To mark the passing of Chris Dreja.

The PW book is interesting, because it's written from the pov of many friends, colleagues and family of William John Weller (fact!). They don't mince their words, either. It has value

Chris Dreja. The Yardbird.
In action, before he switched to bass.
Over Under Sideways Down now on the Late Show to mark his passing this week.
79. No age at all.
