I think we may find out that it was the Israelis he was actually working for.

Sorry, where exactly is credit due? It was Starmer's decision to appoint him in the first place, against the advice of the security services. It beggars belief that he "didn't know". Everybody knew.

How very considerate of him.

So no time for Farage either then?

There's a huge difference between elected MPs switching parties without a by-election and un-elected voters or activists changing their membership or allegiance. But I'm sure you know that.

Or the Greens.

"Intellectually curious" is a great euphemism for ignorant.

Polanski working with the Media? Seriously? The "Media" are barely mentioning him if they can avoid it, and hoping he'll just go away.

I wouldn't know about that. You'd have to ask a Labour insider that ( which I'm definitely not).

Except such decisions would normally be taken by the NEC's Organisation Sub-Committee, whose members are drawn from the wider NEC and whose remit is the overall functioning of local parties (CLPs) including parliamentary selection processes, candidate suitability and potential disqualifications.

The decision was taken by the NEC Officers Group.

I think you can do your own research.

Only 6 NEC members are elected MPS. The rest are appointed.

8 Starmerites, one not. From a total of 39 voting members. If that doesn't sound like a stitch-up I don't know what does.
January 26, 2026 at 7:55 AM
You're wrong. He's from Manchester, born (in Salford) and bred, and went to Stockport Grammar School.
January 25, 2026 at 1:10 PM
He knows what he's doing. Any Tory would be happier to go up against Starmer as PM in the next GE than against Burnham. Of course the Tories want Starmer to stay on unopposed!
January 25, 2026 at 11:18 AM
In the interests of balance, you might add that only 1 out of 5 of the UK registered electorate voted for Starmer in the last General Election.

Unlike every other politician.
