Cleaning out mom’s apartment. She saved my “Kii”, which was my constant companion when I was a toddler. It looks vaguely horrifying now but I’m keeping it 😀

My grandmother did this and I’ve carried on the tradition. For me, it’s the best part of making pies and arguably better than the pies themselves.

I have! A sort of dark burnt orange/ brown mohair combo. I’m apparently on a mohair kick. I have a white w/ sequins then a light grey w/cables to follow when this one is done. The mohair is wonderful but very, very warm. Need to give it a break for some 3-season sweaters #knitting

Finished the bright pink sweater and will take a better picture when I’ve blocked it. With the mohair, it’s like a fluffy pink cloud. I worked from home today and it was at my elbow w/ half an inch left on the 2nd cuff. Resisted finishing it during work. #knitting 🧶

I did build an island in the kitchen and extra cupboards in the dining room but it’s still hard to cook a big dinner.

Every week Life 360 gives me a driver report. My goal is to have all zeros. I don’t understand the phone usage. I have 7 instances nearly every week. I just don’t use my phone while driving. I purposely left it in my bag in the back seat all week. Apparently still managed to use it 7 times.

This pops up in my feed periodically and it always makes me smile. We impact others' lives so many ways and we may never know how. I love that, at least in this case, she knows.

I’m still working on my Fair Isle sweater but I needed a mindless project for days when my brain is just too tired or stressed for a complicated project so I cast this on this morning. Basic stockinette sweater in Finull and Kidsilk haze. More mohair floof. #showmeyourknits

Domestic arts galore today. Knitting, made a huge pot of broccoli cheddar soup and a birthday apple pie for hubs. We still have chocolate cake left from my birthday so pie it is.

That's one of Alice Starmore's sweaters. She's my colorwork hero and I can only aspire to be half as good. She has the best color sense and my favorite of her designs are named after British historical figures. Henry VIII, Ann Boleyn, etc.

I've already ordered yarn for a 2nd one - oranges, reds, yellow, green - and will do something autumnal. I'll need a "palette cleanser" project between two heavy colorwork projects, though.
