30 August 1888 | German Jewish woman, Bertha Heidenheim-Berg, was born in Cologne. She emigrated to the Netherlands.

In February 1944 she was deported from Westerbork to the Theresienstadt ghetto. On 18 May 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She did not survive.

29 August 1929 | A Polish Jew, Michel Adler, was born in Radom. He emigrated to France.

In August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

In September 1944, he was transferred to Buchenwald, where he was liberated.
He emigrated to England. He passed away in 2011.

He was arrested during the Warsaw Uprising and deported to Auschwitz.

This is what the FBI's fingerprint files looked like in 1942:

FBI was adding 400,000 file cards a month to its archives, and was receiving 110,000 requests for “name checks” per month. By 1944 the agency contained some 23 million card records, as well as 10 million fingerprint records.

He arrived at #Auschwitz on 16 April 1944 in a transport of 1,500 Jews deported from Drancy. He was among 1,112 people murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
