Two years after the senseless acts of violence and horrific attacks of 7 October, I am thinking of everyone who lost loved ones and those who are still held hostage and waiting to be reunited with those held hostage.

East Suffolk Council made the right decision in refusing permission for the mega-chicken factory in Shadingfield.

This decision protects animal welfare by stopping hundreds of thousands of birds from being crammed into cruel conditions & it safeguards the local environment.

Our next meeting will take place at Westhorpe Village Hall, Church Road, Westhorpe, IP14 4SY, on Tuesday 9 September 2025. Instead of having a speaker, this time we thought we would opt for something a bit more collaborative.

Council restructuring needs public engagement, not a political campaign. Money is better spent on mending roads.

More spending on propaganda has been revealed. Plus the public are baffled and concerned by the tone of the 'Alice' leaflet.

Alt text: Graphic with the heading “Suffolk County Council” in a blue banner, followed by bold black text reading “Green-led opposition call out council spending on ‘political propaganda’.” Four bullet points say: “Council restructuring needs public engagement not political campaign”, “Money better spent on mending the roads”, “More spending on propaganda revealed”, and “Public baffled and concerned by the tone of the ‘Alice’ leaflet.” To the right is a small photo of a pothole in a road, and below it an image of a pink leaflet with Alice in Wonderland artwork and the words “Three councils. Three sets of salaries. Same old story.” alongside a QR code.

The Chancellor (when in opposition) & now Lord Kinnock & a former First Minister of Wales have all backed calls for a wealth tax.

I asked the PM if he stands by his promise that those with the broadest shoulders should bear the biggest burden.

He dodged my question again.
