I will be honest, I only picked this book originally because it fulfilled the "Read a sapphic story by a South Asian author" prompt of the Sapphic Reading Challenge, but what I found was an amazing story of friendship and self acceptance that had me on the edge of my seat!

What her mother didn't expect was the connection that grew between Esha and her dance instructor, Billu. Her lessons with Billu quickly become her favorite part of wedding prep, but also have her second guessing if this marriage would be the right choice.

This was a cute, if cheesy, story that was told and wrapped up perfectly in 128 pages!

Morgan and Angie are roommates who have grown close while living together. Angie misses her family's holiday traditions, so when Morgan's guilt becomes too much, she brings Angie back to her hometown for a family Christmas.

This was another novella from the "Home for the Holidays" collection.

Some of the events and characters were a little hard to understand, but once I learned that this novella is connected to a trilogy, it made way more sense. I definitely wish I had read the other books first, but the story was still a quick, heartwarming holiday read!

This novella is part of the "Home for the Holidays" collection and I can't wait to read more of them next holidays.

This novel closely follows the events of The Great Gatsby, but placed them in a futuristic world that has been overrun by consumerism and decimated by pollution. In addition to the futuristic setting, this novel also gives you a deeper look into each of the characters which makes them more real.

Reading more graphic novels and books aimed at younger readers has been an unexpected result of the many 2025 storygraph reading challenges I joined.

I ate this twisted story up! This collection has been on my TBR for a while and I'm SO glad that the "Read a sapphic retelling of a classic story" prompt from the Sapphic Reading Challenge gave me a push to pick up this first one!
