The prevailing argument in favor of using AI in media is that it lowers the cost for local news and under-served communities.

But the core of that argument is fundamentally that we should paper over a loss of institutions with a deeply inferior and unreliable product.

People deserve better!

The only other thing I'll say is this:

I'm so lucky to directly work with some of the kindest and most talented folks in this profession.

And it bums me out when someone else determines those qualities aren't enough somehow.
